The Best & Easiest PB&J Smoothie

NOTE: You can find other recipes for smoothies throughout my blog. A few favorites are my turmeric smoothie, green smoothie or strawberry-banana smoothie.

I am a peanut butter and jelly girl through and through. I grew up loving them and I often lived off of them in college because they’re so affordable. I think PB&J sandwiches are universally liked too. I’ve never really met someone who doesn’t like a PB&J. The only debate around PB&J is “what flavor jam is best?” and there is only one answer to that. It’s obviously strawberry, but I digress.

As of late, I’ve been making this smoothie for me and Hart daily. It’s so good! We can’t get enough of it so I figured I’d share it on my blog. I hope you’ll love it as much as we do.

INGREDIENTS FOR PB&J SMOOTHIE:

  • 1 cup of almond milk. I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk.
  • 1 banana (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 – 1 cup of mixed frozen berries. I’ve been loving this antioxidant fruit blend from Target. It includes blueberries, cherries, strawberries, raspberries and pomegranate.
  • 2 generous tablespoons of peanut butter or your nut butter of choice
  • 1 – 2 tablespoons of collagen powder (optional)

TIPS & TRICKS:

  • Use up the fresh berries in your fridge that may be going bad soon. You can also save some of the berries by putting them in a freezer bag and freezing them for later.
  • Go basic and use just frozen strawberries or just frozen blueberries
  • Scrape the sides of the blender to peel the peanut butter off of the sides

INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1: Throw it all into the blender and enjoy!

You can watch this video of how it’s made on my Instagram. If you liked this smoothie or you’re interested in trying some of my other smoothies, check out the growing list here. I hope you enjoy it! Let me know what you think and any modifications you make in the comments below. What is your favorite kind of jam?

    1. yes, oatmilk is good too! It’s a little thicker so you may want to use less and add more a little bit at a time.
